KrytsalKlear water filtration systems are designed to filter all the water that enters the home or cottage for less than 1/2 cent per gallon!

Now, with our state-of-the-art multi-stage filtration system, all the water that enters the home or cottage – in the kitchen, bathrooms, showers, laundry room, etc. - will be clear and good tasting. Contaminants like lead, chlorine, mercury, lindane, TCE, herbicides, pesticides, and many VOC's will be reduced well below US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards. Also, a wide range of viruses, bacteria, and cysts will be killed, thereby protecting you and your family from potential sickness.

KrytsalKlear water filtration systems utilize a four-stage filtration process followed by UV disinfection stage:

Stage 1   A replaceable pre-filter reduces sediment helping to clear the water and extend the life of the filtration media.
Stage 2   Copper-Zinc redox media reduces heavy metals - such as lead and mercury - by cation exchange.
Stage 3   Patented ceramic-impregnated coconut shell media. reduces chlorine and controls bacteria growth within the carbon bed
Stage 4   Granular activated coconut shell carbon media and granular activated carbon media (large mesh) reduce chemical contaminants and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) (eg gasoline and oil from boat motors) while minimizing pressure drop
Stage 5   An ultraviolet light is applied to kill a broad range of viruses, bacteria, and cysts.

KrystalKlear systems are available in two models each intended to address specific water quality issues - the LakeMate series for water sources, such as lakes or rivers, where microbiological contamination (eg E.coli, cryptosporidium, giardia) is known or suspected; and the Kleanflo series for water sources that are already treated for biological contamination, or are known to be safe.

KrystalKlear water systems come in various capacities - from 5US gpm for a 1½ - 2 bathrooom home up to 25 US gpm for a large home with 6 bathrooms, and with a variety of options to tailor a system to your specific needs.

*1 -  Depending on the quality of the water, the filtration media will last for up to 500,000 gallons of treated water before being replaced
*2 – Ultraviolet radiation destroys bacteria, viruses and cysts and does not leave any disinfectant residual in the water; imparts no taste to the water. The UV unit has a warning (flashing light and beep) that indicates when the UV lamp needs to be replaced. It is recommend that the lamp be replaced after 365 days of usage
*3 - The filtration media should be “back-flushed” periodically by reversing the flow of water. This not only improves system performance but prolongs the life of the filtration media. KrystalKlear systems come with an automated backflush facility. The system will be back-flushed whenever it is switched on (eg after a power failure or prolonged period of inactivity) and periodically (according to a programmable schedule – factory setting is monthly). As well, the KrystalKlear backflush incorporates a unique forward flush step to ensure that no untreated water from the backflush process enters your home water supply
*4 -  A water meter is recommended if one is not already in place.  This will enable system usage to be monitored to support an optimal maintenance regime.
*5 -  Where a water source provides hard water (some wells and municipalities) a water-softener can be added to the system
